You have to learn about your body to be able to teach about it. I really enjoyed GCSE Science because it was a challenge and it taught me so much about my body.
I'm Rae. I'm 23 and I'm a professional dance choreographer.
My job as a choreographer is using dance to tell a story. Also to teach other people how to dance different styles of dance and how to express themselves.
I met Rachel when I was looking for a place to dance. She taught me that feeling is what connects people with dancers - add emotion.
A warm up helps the blood to circulate. It also helps your joints and muscles extend to the best of their abilities so that you're less likely to get injured.
My body is my tool when I dance. It is how I express myself through movement. You have to learn about your body to be able to teach about it.
I really enjoyed Science during GCSE times, because it was a challenge and it taught me so much about my body. I started working at a gym; just going from a receptionist job to teaching fitness classes. I saw how dance was a really good way of keeping fit.
Setting my own business up was more difficult than I thought. Marketing. Sales. Communication. Having logos. Branding. You have to have very good business knowledge.
Once you know how the body moves, you can create some unique movements that will make a crowd go "Wow!"
Dance makes me so happy. It's a way of expressing myself to the whole world.
