Who are the characters in The Famous Five?
The Famous Five comprises of Julian, George, Dick, Anne and Timmy the dog.
George is a cousin to Julian, Dick and Anne, whom they get to meet when staying with Uncle Quentin and Aunt Fanny... and that's when the adventures begin!

Who created The Famous Five? When did The Famous Five start?
The Famous Five was created by Enid Blyton, one of history's most successful children's writers, who still remains incredibly popular to this day. Enid Blyton wrote 21 Famous Five novels, so there's plenty of reading to be done! The first, 'Five on a Treasure Island' was published back in 1942, and more quickly followed. They were very popular from the start, and generations of fans young and old have continued to enjoy them to this day.

The Famous Five is just one of Enid Blyton's many successful book series. Enid also created Noddy, The Secret Seven, The Faraway Tree... and Malory Towers, one of CBBC's popular shows.
