The BBC Trust has launched a two month consultation on the BBC’s proposals for BBC Studios, following their launch this afternoon by the Director General Tony Hall at the Royal Television Society conference in Cambridge.

The Trust wants to hear the views of industry stakeholders and other interested parties on the BBC’s proposals for changes to the supply arrangement for the production of BBC television and radio programming following BBC Charter Review.

More information on the consultation and how to respond to is available here:

Public consultation on the future of the BBC’s supply arrangements for the production of the BBC’s television content, radio content and online content and services

Next steps

The views received in the consultation will go towards informing the Trust’s advice to the Government on the different options for the future of the BBC’s production arrangements in serving the interest of licence fee payers over any new Charter period.

The Government will then set out its intentions in the New Year for responding to the BBC’s content supply arrangements under any new Charter.
