Phoenix Rise follows six high school students who try to prove that sometimes being an outsider means belonging to the best club of all, as their unlikely friendships bond them and fuel their determination not to be side-lined.

Feeling different can be quite normal when going through high school, and we can face lots of situations where we feel like we don't fit in. A bit like the characters in the new high school drama Phoenix Rise.

We spoke to some of the cast, who share a few of the difficulties their characters face in the show, and to Dr Radha Modgil, who offers advice to anyone going through something similar. Then why not take our quiz and explore what you would do if you were in their shoes?

Phoenix Rise is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

If you need support

You should always tell someone about the things you’re worried about. You can tell a friend, parent, guardian, teacher, or another trusted adult. If you're struggling with your mental health, going to your GP can be a good place to start to find help. Your GP can let you know what support is available to you, suggest different types of treatment and offer regular check-ups to see how you’re doing.

If you’re in need of in-the-moment support you can contact Childline, where you can speak to a counsellor. Their lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
